12.07.18 — Eugene Love Kim '19 has been named as the recipient of the 2018 AALAM/Dow Fund Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually by the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts Scholarship (AALAM) in conjunction with the Harry H. Dow Memorial Legal Assistance Fund (Dow Fund). The awardee is then invited to speak at the Annual Dow Dinner in December.

Since 1997, AALAM has awarded an annual AALAM Scholarship Award to an Asian American law student who demonstrates leadership potential, maturity and responsibility, a commitment to making a contribution to the Asian American community and other indicia of excellence, whether personal, professional or academic.

"It’s truly humbling and a blessing to be the 2018 AALAM and Harry H. Dow Memorial Legal Assistance Fund Scholarship recipient," said Eugen. "Harry H. Dow had a tremendous impact in the Asian and legal community in Boston, and he also paved the way for Asian American lawyers. In the spirit of Harry H. Dow, I not only plan to shatter the model minority myth that adversely impacts Asians, but I also plan to continue honoring his legacy through my commitment to serving the Asian American community, other People of Color, and public interest."
