08.13.13 —  Northeastern University School of Law tops Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly “Top Women of Law” event this year with twelve honorees — more than any other law school in the commonwealth. The event, which will be held on October 31, celebrates those who have made great professional strides and demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in private practice, the corporate arena and social advocacy.

The group of honorees was selected by a panel comprised of members of the community and representatives from Lawyers Weekly’s editorial department. The women’s accomplishments are varied. Some have spent years in the nonprofit sector, ensuring that underrepresented populations receive the legal help they need. Others have been instrumental in drafting and implementing legislative or regulatory reform. Still others shoulder significant pro bono or mentoring commitments in addition to their other responsibilities.

All have made significant contributions to our profession and are role models for young women entering the law.
