Coming to America.. and NU!
ITS provides the Northeastern community a cloud-based video collaboration capability through the BlueJeans application. Using BlueJeans, you can meet and share content using an in-room conferencing system, a Windows or Mac desktop or laptop browser, or an iOS or Android mobile device. The cloud-based service allows faculty to collaborate via both audio and video with students and colleagues around the globe, participating in classes on or off-campus.
It’s the same great technology – with an upgrade. You will now have two ways to access BlueJeans:
- BlueJeans Application: Follow the link to download the richest BlueJeans experience (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS)
- Google Chrome: a fast experience no longer having to download a plugin
Note: Major browser vendors are in the process of ending support for the plug-in. However, moving away from plug-in technology allows for an even better video experience.
What Can I Expect? September Morn.
As of September 2016, users who access BlueJeans using Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari will be prompted to install the BlueJeans application. Users who access BlueJeans Primetime as a moderator or presenter will also be prompted to install the BlueJeans application.

In the past year we had over 1,023 users who had 12,767 meetings across 68 countries worldwide – that’s some serious global collaboration!
