Housing and Dining

As live-in professionals, Residence Directors are provided with fully-furnished staff apartments located within the residential complex they manage. Though they vary in size and amenities, significant efforts and investments are made to comfortably furnish our RDs’ homes. Spouses and partners are welcome, though no pets (other than fish) are permitted at this time.

Professional Development Opportunities

The Department of Residential Life at Northeastern proudly participates in many of our region’s professional organizations including BACHA, NEACUHO, and NASPA Region I, and encourages its members to do the same. In years past, on-campus professional development opportunities have included monthly pro-staff workshops, webinars, and opportunities to lead departmental initiatives and taskforces.

Many current and past professionals have chosen to utilize the university’s generous tuition waiver benefit to pursue additional professional certifications, or Master's and Doctoral Degree programs through the College of Professional Studies.
