In the Fall and Spring semesters, the Honors program provides a limited number of Honors Teaching Assistantships to faculty offering HONR courses. Honors TAs typically receive a $750 stipend for the semester through our program. TA positions are approved based on student enrollment and syllabus. Thus, courses that have a larger number of enrolled students, a broader range of assignments, and various out-of-classroom activities are more likely to be granted a TA than those that do not.
Honors faculty interested in acquiring a Honors Teaching Assistant for Fall 2016, should please apply using this form, as well as send us a syllabus (or draft syllabus) by Friday, April 10, 2016. Once TA assignments are finalized, the Honors Program will then send a call for applications to all upper-class Honors students. When a course is selected to receive a TA, the faculty will be notified, who will in turn receive applications directly from students and proceed to make a final selection.
