January 27, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The 24th Annual Robert Salomon Morton Lecture

Sala’s daughter, Ann Kirschner, author of Sala’s Gift, will introduce and moderate a panel that includes playwright Arlene Hutton, documentarian Murray Nossel, and curator Jill Vexler.  They will discuss how the 300 letters sent to Sala Garncarz during her five years imprisoned in Nazi labor camps were transformed into a book, an exhibit, a play, and a documentary film. Copies of Sala’s Gift: My Mother’s Holocaust Story will be available for purchase with book signing to follow.

Sponsored by the Gustel Cormann Giessen Memorial Fund and the Robert S. Morton Lecture Fund at Northeastern University.
