Gain skills and knowledge essential for tomorrow’s careers. Or get ahead in the one you have now. Choose the option that suits your lifestyle and ambitions:

  • Full-Time Co-op Opportunities— Forty percent of our master’s degree programs offer full-time co-op opportunities. Students pursue paid positions in their field of study for three to six months.
  • Experiential Network (XN)— Students work virtually with a supervisor at a sponsoring business or nonprofit, completing a challenging assignment over a six-week period.
  • Experiential Learning at Work— Working professionals collaborate with their employer to identify a project that addresses a key business need. They also gain invaluable experience in an area that interests them.
  • Experiential PhD — Northeastern is pioneering a new form of doctorate—one that expands lab and classroom learning with paid fellowships and internships at companies, research institutes, and nonprofits. Instead of one faculty mentor, students have a second in industry. While expanding their career network, they gain access to leading innovators, publishing opportunities, and exciting career paths.
  • Research— Lab-based courses provide students with hands-on experience, helping them take their research, and career, to the next level.
  • In-Class Case Studies — From case studies and exercises, students apply a real-world perspective to all they learn.
