Northeastern University has partnered with the Center for Healthcare Leadership and Management to offer specialized training for those who are pursuing or those who are currently in leadership and management positions within their healthcare organizations. The Graduate Certificate in Physician Assistant Leadership and Management seeks to prepare qualified and interested students to achieve their goal of obtaining a robust understanding of the theory, techniques, and implementation of leadership and management skills essential in the practice and administration of medicine in today's healthcare environment. The curriculum is designed to support PAs and those managing PAs with the necessary skills and competencies to expand their roles in the clinical arena and/or increase their familiarity with and training in leadership/management in order to advance their careers in healthcare administration.
The certificate’s curriculum is deliberately distinctive from that typically found in MBA or MHA programs as it focuses on critical competencies specific to managing advanced practice provider workforces.
Through this graduate certificate, students will learn how to manage conflict, communicate effectively, advocate for their ideas, measure workforce productivity and outcomes, as well as understand the nuances of PA and NP billing and reimbursement.
The PA Leadership and Management Certificate is designed for the busy healthcare provider or administrator. All classes are online and can be completed in as little as nine months.
