How will this affect my fall enrollment or start?
You will be able to continue your enrollment in the fall after enrolling in the summer term course.
Will the course in summer be part of my degree program?
Yes, the summer course and credits earned will be part of your degree program.
*Please note: The Khoury College Align bridge courses are not designed to be taught in a compressed, seven-week semester. Instead of a for-credit course, we will develop programming over the summer to engage students with members of the administration, faculty, staff and student body. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
Can I choose any available course in the summer to register?
Course offerings for the summer scholarship were individually determined by each college’s academic leadership. If you registered for a summer course scholarship, your college has now posted your available course. You can see the list here before you register.
How will my enrollment in my summer course impact future OPT?
In general, enrolling in the summer course online while you are at your home county will not impact your future OPT eligibility. The OGS website contains valuable information about OPT eligibility.
Will taking the summer course affect my I-20 process for the fall term?
No, taking courses during the summer term from your home country will not affect your I-20 process for the fall term. You will still be issued an I-20 for the fall that you will use to get a visa.
As the I-20 deadlines are quickly approaching, please be sure to submit your I-20 request via your myOGS in your myNortheastern account. If you have any questions about your situation, contact the Office of Global Services at +1.617.373.2310 or by emailing email@example.com.
What If I don’t get my F-1 visa for the fall term?
If you are unable to get your visa for the on-ground fall term, you may consider continuing as an online student, or you may re-apply for a visa to allow on-ground study. Please note that at this point, the fall on-ground term is not yet confirmed, as this is a continually evolving public health situation.
How will I participate in my summer scholarship course? Online? On ground?
We are offering the course online, allowing you to start your educational journey with us from the safety of your own home.
