Clinical Professor, Physician Assistant Program
Pierre d’Hemecourt, MD received his Bachelor’s degree at St. Joseph’s College in Pennsylvania and his Doctorate at Georgetown University School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Emergency Medicine at Norfolk General Hospital, Dr. d’Hemecourt finished a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Children’s Hospital in 1997 and became the Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine there in 1998.
Currently, Dr. d’Hemecourt works at Children’s Hospital, Boston in the Division of Sports Medicine and is also Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery. In addition, Dr. d’Hemecourt has served as team physician for Boston College and is involved in many different sporting events throughout Massachusetts. He serves as co-medical chair of the BAA Boston Marathon since 2007. He is the Director of the injured runner’s clinic as well as the sports ultrasound clinic.
