Needa Brown, PhD, is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Physics at Northeastern University. Dr. Brown is the Director of the Graduate Certificate in Nanomedicine program and her courses focus on the history and innovative advancements in the field of nanomedicine. Her research interest spans interdisciplinary fields of physics, engineering, and biology with an emphasis to develop and translate theranostic nanoparticles to the patient bedside. Dr. Brown’s work focuses on understanding the interaction of nanomedicine within the disease microenvironment and how to optimize these interactions for synergistic approaches.
