Assistant Teaching Professor

Lori Ashline is an assistant teaching professor in the Master of Science in Nonprofit Management program and a lawyer admitted to the Massachusetts bar. She has more than 20 years of experience leading fundraising efforts for higher education, healthcare, and social services organizations with budgets ranging from $50,000 to $500 million. Professor Ashline has coached nonprofit boards on fiduciary responsibilities and legal obligations, conducted nonprofit creation and compliance workshops, and participated in advocacy efforts at the state and federal levels of government.
In addition to teaching and curriculum design, she will work closely with faculty teaching in the program to assure quality, student satisfaction, and engagement. Teaching part-time in the program since 2009, she has twice been nominated by students for the Excellence in Teaching Award.
Professor Ashline is also engaged in her community—she has been a technology instructor for Tech Goes Home; an English as a Second Language instructor for the Melrose Human Rights Commission; and the webmaster.
