Experience:
Jason Poitras is an instructor and served as the associate director for the Master of Arts in Homeland Security Program as well as teaching in the Strategic Intelligence and Criminal Justice programs at the College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University. He brings with him over 20 years of teaching experience within higher learning. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate at Northeastern University.
Professional Experience:
Concurrently to teaching, Poitras’ career included 21 years of law enforcement experience with concentrations in narcotics, training, and investigations. A member of the Navy Reserve, he has held positions as a staff officer to NATO Allied Maritime Command in support of counter-piracy efforts in the Indian Ocean and multiple overseas counter-terrorism assignments. His current assignment is as the officer-in-charge for an intelligence branch for USCENTCOM examining extremist threats in the Middle East.
