As part of the Africa Global Initiative, Northeastern University has instituted the African Students Access Scholarship for academically outstanding students. The scholarship offers a tuition discount to meritorious students from African universities who have been admitted into a graduate program.
Who is eligible?
Incoming graduate students to one of Northeastern’s U.S. campuses are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Students currently enrolled at Northeastern University are not eligible.
Which academic programs are eligible for the African Students Access Scholarship?
The scholarship applies to a diverse mix of graduate programs. Please view the list of eligible programs at the bottom of this page.
How much is the scholarship?
The total scholarship amount will depend on the program you’re interested in, but you may receive up to a 50% tuition discount for the entire duration of your program, provided you maintain a GPA of 3.5 or better. If you have other scholarships or education awards from other organizations, you can apply those to your program cost as well.
What is the application process for the scholarship?
There is no separate application required for the scholarship. You must apply to one of the eligible graduate programs. If you’re admitted, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
