On Thursday, September 14th, our Distinguished Speaker will be Dr. Eric M. Bailey, Former President/CEO/Founder of NeuroLogica Corporation (A Subsidiary of Samsung Electronics).

Dr. Eric M. Bailey received an honorary Doctor of Biomedical Engineering degree from Northeastern University in 2006 for his contributions to aerospace/defense, homeland security, and medical imaging. He received an Electrical Engineering Degree from the Citadel Military College in 1984 and rose to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Air Force before entering the private sector in 1988. As one of the youngest program managers at Northrop, he developed the first closed loop micro-machined accelerometer and gyroscope. He holds more than twenty patents and has more than twenty years of expertise in medical and security imaging and aerospace/defense industries.

Prior to NeuroLogica, Bailey was the Vice President of Computed Tomography Engineering at Analogic Corporation where he led the development of several state of the art medical and security CT systems, including the mid-range CT product line for Philips Medical Corporation. Bailey was instrumental in the development of the world’s first multi-slice CT scanner designed to detect explosives detection, which is now installed at many United States airports.

The National Academy of Engineering awarded the Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership the prestigious 2015 Bernard M. Gordon Prize for Innovation in Engineering and Technology Education.
