Fall Fair Series: Special Session: Social Justice Abroad

October 19 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Do you want to learn more about how communities around the world are responding to injustice and oppression? Are you interested in channeling your existing activism into a more meaningful study abroad experience? Do you want to find out how you can connect social justice to your study abroad plans? Join us for this interactive session co-facilitated by partners from the Center for Intercultural Engagement and Social Justice Resource Center.

Whether you are deeply involved in social justice work or just starting out, this session will help you to identify your study abroad interests and goals, and explore examples of GEO programs that focus on activism, justice, anti-racism, and decolonization. We will also hear about how Northeastern students’ experiences abroad expanded their perspectives on how global issues touch different communities, and allowed them to develop new strategies for their own commitment to social justice in Boston and around the world.
