The GEO ambassador program is a peer-to-peer program designed to inform full-time undergraduate students of study abroad and global co-op opportunities offered through Northeastern.
There are a series of training sessions within this program which are designed to enhance public speaking skills, help students learn how to communicate and articulate the impact of their study abroad experience in a professional manner, and give students an understanding of the study abroad profession. Ambassadors are highly encouraged to share their own experiences in their classroom visits and events.
Through the GEO Ambassador Program, study abroad alumni visit classes to give 10-15 minute presentations on global opportunities available at Northeastern. Ambassadors address major-specific concerns as well as important upcoming dates and deadlines. We attempt to match classes with Ambassadors who are also in that college, when possible. Presentation content and length can be tailored to fit your preferences and schedule.
This year, GEO is offering two concentrated Ambassador cohorts!
- The GEO Campus Clubs Ambassador will be charged with outreach & presentations for Northeastern Campus Clubs. This team would be a perfect fit for someone already involved in one or more campus clubs!
- The GEO Res Life Ambassador will be charged with presenting to groups of students living in Res Halls. This would be a great fit for a student who lives in Res Halls, has lived in res halls or works in Res Life!
