Brian Sullivan

Brian Sullivan is the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Northeastern University, where he leads the strategic marketing function within the External Affairs department.  His efforts aim to build upon the university’s existing marketing successes to elevate Northeastern’s global visibility and brand profile.

Prior to joining Northeastern in 2015, Brian spent several seasons as Director of Marketing for the Boston Red Sox, where he managed the daily marketing activities for the club, including advertising, social media, promotions, and marketing partnerships.  In addition, Brian has spent many years in consumer products brand management, at both Kraft and the H.J. Heinz Company, where he supervised brands like Oreo, Bagel Bites, and South Beach Diet bars.

Brian graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, and has a master’s degree in business administration from Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business.
