Please Note: Training is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays. If you have a conflict and are not able to schedule yourself for one of the sessions, please call us at x2769 or e-mail us at ehs@northeastern.edu and we’ll try to accommodate your schedule. Please try to schedule yourself for these training sessions early but at least one day prior to the scheduled date. A training session will be canceled if there is no one registered before the morning of the scheduled date.
Biosafety Classroom Training Schedule
This training is a requirement for all employees whose work or research exposes them to disease-producing organisms in human blood or tissues. In addition, personnel working with rDNA, infectious agents or other biohazardous material will also be required to attend.

Chemical Hygiene (Laboratory Safety) Training Schedule
This training is a requirement for all employees who work with hazardous chemicals in laboratories. We recommend this be taken as initial or refresher training on-line by clicking here. A classroom session can be scheduled if you have three or more people that would like to attend in place of the on-line training.

Chemical Inventory: EH&S Assist Training Schedule
This training is a requirement for all employees and students who manage a chemical inventory using EH&S Assist in laboratories.

Hazardous Material Transportation (DOT)
This training is a requirement for all employees involved in shipping or receiving hazardous materials. The on-line course can be found by clicking here. Classroom sessions are scheduled as needed.

This training is a requirement for all employees and students who manage or generate hazardous waste.

Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Training Schedule
This training is a requirement for all employees involved in oil handling, storage or spill response (quantities over 55 gallons).

Autoclave Training Schedule
This training is required for all employees and students who will be operating an autoclave. The safety program orientation, chemical hygiene 1 & 2, and the online autoclave training must be completed before registering for the hands-on classroom session.
Autoclave classroom training sessions are available on Wednesday’s from 10 am – 10:45 am and Fridays’s from 11:30 am – 12:15 pm. If the listed day and times don’t work with your schedule, contact Chris Bingel at x2769 with any questions.
