Environmental Protection

As the world leader in experiential learning, Northeastern University is committed to protecting the environment through its actions in teaching, research and service activities.

Our goal is to be a leader among institutions of higher education in taking responsible actions to protect the environment. As an urban institution, we are particularly invested in taking a leadership role in addressing environmental challenges shared by urban centers all over the world. We are committed to complying with accepted environmental practices, including the commitment to meet or exceed applicable legal and other requirements, to strive for continual improvement in our environmental management system, and to minimize the creation of wastes and pollution. We will, therefore, manage our teaching, our research, and our various service activities in order to reduce the environmental impacts associated with our work.
