RUN TOWARD FEAR: Millennial Activism & Social Justice in the Trump Era

February 28, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Rather than give in to fear, this forum brings thought leaders from the frontline of contemporary political debates and grassroots activist political struggle to join students in forward-thinking conversations about what the shifting political winds mean for college students, women and marginalized communities, and the ways young activists across the nation are re-imagining the most important issues of our time.  Panelists include: Jasiri X, Hip-Hop Artist and Activist; Greisa Martinez, Advocacy Director, United We Dream; Dr. Toussaint Losier, History Professor, UMass Amherst and activist with Chicago Anti-Eviction Campaign; Tamika Mallory, Activist and National Co-Chair, Women’s March on Washington; Yusef Salaam, Exonerated member of Central Park 5
