“Rafiki” Film Talk-Back
March 13, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Rafiki is the story of Kena and Ziki, two very different girls living in a Nairobi housing estate. When they fall in love, they must choose between love and safety against a backdrop of insular gossip, local politics and burgeoning maturity. The film will begin at 4:30 pm and the talkback will begin at 6:15pm. Both are open to the public. The talkback is open to all participants, even if you are unable to attend the film screening before. This event is part of the Women Take the Reel Festival. Seating is limited and admission will be based on a first-come/first-served basis. Both ISEC and the Auditorium are wheelchair accessible. This film is subtitled in English and Deaf Interpreters will be present for the talk-back.
