Race and Criminal Justice in MA and America

Panelists will discuss the topic, "Race and Criminal Justice in Massachusetts and America," from their perspective, covering law enforcement, corrections, the courts, sentencing and most importantly, the community perspective. Panelists include:
  • William Gross, Superintendent-In-Chief of the Boston Police Department
  • Steve Tompkins, Sheriff of Suffolk County
  • Anthony Braga, Director of Northeastern University's School of Criminology and Criminal Justice
  • Amy Farrell, Associate Director of Northeastern University's School of Ciminiology and Criminal Justice and Assistant Director of the Institute on Race and Justice
  • Andrea Cabral, former Secretary of Public Safety for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and political commentator
  • Robert Ronquillo, Jr., Chief Justice of the Boston Municipal Court
  • J. Larry Mayes, a presentative of the community
The Honorable Ralf Gants, Chief of SJC will deliver the opening remarks and The Honorable Roderick Ireland will act as moderator.
