The Installer will then unpack the client application. Once complete, drag it into the Applications folder.

Locate and run the VMware Horizon Client to complete the last configuration steps.  The client application is located in your Applications folder, but you can find it easily by using the Spotlight Search in the upper-right of your screen (search for VMware).

Upon launching the application, you will be confronted with a cautionary alert notifying you that the application came from the internet; Select Open to continue.

Next you will see a message requesting to “Start remote USB and Printing services”; select Continue to proceed.

Next you will see a message requesting to “Sharing”; select Allow to proceed. It will enable sharing of your “Home Folder” with the appcloud environment.

Enter your myNEU username and password to log into the service.

When you are prompted to supply the Connection Server; enter and check the box underneath the text field to “Always connect at launch”; select Connect to continue.

If prompted, log in with your myNEU credentials again (this second prompt only occurs the first time).

Select VMware Horizon Client in the upper-left of the screen and choose Preferences from the drop-down menu.

Select the Sharing tab, use the “+” button beneath the text field to add a folder to the list in your Documents folder.

Select Add in the lower-right of the window.  Once this is complete, you will be able to save and open files in your computer’s Documents folder from any virtualized application using the VMware Horizon Client.

You will then see icons for the software titles available to you as selected by the professors for your courses.
