Arden Ali received his Ph.D. in philosophy from MIT and his B.Phil. in philosophy and political science from the University of Pittsburgh. He works mainly in ethics, philosophy of action, and the philosophy of law. His research has focused on the connection between moral character and responsibility. Current projects address the possibility of character change, the compatibility of virtue and vice with psychological disorder, and the nature of criminal intent. He teaches courses in applied ethics, ethical theory, theory of mind, and logic.
