Timothy Love, ’10, was recently featured in News@Northeastern for his work on the NUPD. Timothy’s first co-op experience was with the NUPD in 2010 as a special services clerk. This co-op would lead Timothy to pursue a career with NUPD after graduating in 2010. He was hired as a community service officer and later was promoted to patrol officer. In 2016 Timothy was awarded the “Officer of the Year” award and has since been promoted to patrol sergeant.
“As sergeant, Love oversees day-to-day patrol operations during the day shift, serving as a front-line supervisor to NUPD patrol officers. He says that from training under Sgt. Steven Good, he saw firsthand the value of being a good listener and treating officers with respect. He also notes how NUPD command staff encourages members of the department to pursue their professional interests.”
