Faces of Northeastern: Joshua Harr, Security and Resilience Studies Program

Recently, Northeastern University. recently honored a graduate student in the Security and Resilience studies program, Joshua Harr, MS ’16. Who is Joshua Harr? Logan Wangsgard of the Political Science department decided to reach out to Harr and get to know a little more about him. Joshua married his beautiful wife, Kayla, in November. In December, Harr decided to leave the Air Force, after a whopping six years of service. In January, Harr decided to make another life altering decision and decided to move to Boston from New Mexico to join Northeastern University’s Security and Resilience Studies graduate program specializing in cyber security. When Harr isn’t working on his academic studies, he’s working as a Data Analyst at Boston Children’s Hospital. One of Harr’s hobbies is Obstacle Course racing and is competing in 15 Spartan Races this year. Harr also enjoys running, playing his guitar and piano and visiting Boston’s historical sights with his wife.

Harr decided to imparted some words of wisdom, “I am always trying to improve myself. No matter if it is on the course at a Spartan Race, reading or, most importantly, gaining a new perspective by interacting with people; my aspiration is to continue to grow as a human being who desires to contribute toward solutions in a problematic world.”
