Prof. Illingworth on Americans and Immigrant Health

In this short piece, Professor Illingworth argues that Health is a public good. She argues that it is a public good because the health of one group of people directly impacts the health of other groups of people. In this case, the two groups in question are American citizens and immigrants. Since America refuses to give healthcare to immigrants, Americans are actually harming themselves because if one part of the population is unhealthy, it can seep into all other parts of the society.
