In the first of a series of planned exhibitions on Jewish art and poetry in South America, Nora Seilicovich, a noted Jewish artist from Argentina, exhibited her paintings on Sunday, April 17, at the home of Professor Stephen Sadow, member of the Jewish Studies Executive Committee, and his wife Norma. According to Seilicovich, who was present at the well-attended exhibition, her painting is influenced by both her Eastern European Jewish heritage and the Argentine reality in which she lives. Her artworks depict, sometimes whimsically, a multitude of confident and physically strong women.
