The department provides a free TA Workshop (tutoring services) to students taking it principles courses (ECON 1115 and 1116), statistics course (ECON 2350) and intermediate theory courses (ECON 2315 and 2316). The tutoring service is staffed by economic graduate students.

In 310 Lake Hall (LA), the Department provides a limited number of personal computers for student use. These computers are connected to NUnet, providing access to the internet and many campus-related services and software, including the library and statistical software.
The Peer Tutoring Program offers a wide range of tutoring services to meet the academic needs of the undergraduate students in many of the introductory level courses, as well as some of the upper-level courses in the NU Core. Economic students can receive help in introductory through advanced economic coursework. Students in need of academic assistance are encouraged to contact the Peer Tutoring Program Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Peer Tutoring services are FREE and open to all NU undergraduate students. Students are able to book tutoring appointments for a variety of subjects via MyNEU under TUTORING.
