Northeastern Crossing is seeking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to join our team!  Our volunteers are known for working cooperatively with the community members and organizations on and off campus.


Northeastern Crossing’s Volunteer Experience Corps are individuals who are dedicated and passionate members of the Northeastern’s students, faculty, and staff community, including local residents.  Our volunteers must work cooperatively and collaboratively with Northeastern Crossing staff, university community and surrounding neighborhoods to foster meaningful and intentional exchanges that build a greater sense of community in the following ways:


Volunteer roles and responsibilities vary from event to event but may include the following:

  • Assistance with programing and events:
    • Set up and breakdown
    • Greeting guests and busing tables
    • Photography and social media
  • Street Team:
    • Distributing materials on and off campus
    • Tabling at on-campus events
  • Technical Support:
    • Office administrative support
    • Proofreading materials by community members
    • Setting up equipment
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Assist with keeping space clean and organized
    • Order and clean equipment
    • Provide feedback to enhance existing programs
    • Provide support and guidance for public access area


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in one of the areas of need listed above
  • A member of the Northeastern community and/or local resident
  • Minimum commitment of 4 hours per month
