National Academy of Inventors – The Top 100
Once again, Northeastern University has secured its place as a center for innovation and entrepreneurship. Since 2010, the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) publishes a list of the Top 100 Universities in the world that have been granted U.S. utility patents. Northeastern makes its seventh consecutive appearance on the list, cementing it as a world leader in academia and research.
Northeastern’s placement on this list sets it alongside its elite peers in the academic world, including local universities like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Massachusetts as well as institutions around the country, like Stanford University and the University of California System.
The continuous appearance from Northeastern on this list are a testament to the heights of excellence that the university strives for. Its commitment to a unique and challenging academic curriculum for students that is partnered with its nationally recognized experiential learning program has earned it the well-regarded reputation it maintains. Northeastern believes in supporting its community, both student and scientist, through the entire research process.
The Center for Research Innovation (CRI) continues to be a hub for the Northeastern community to find complete support for their innovative research; from start to finish, CRI offers Northeastern researchers a chance to focus on bringing their greatest ideas to life.
For Northeastern University, it is a privilege to once again see its dedication to its community pay dividends through the NAI Top 100 list. Northeastern will continue to strive for the best by setting up its researchers for success through support from CRI and beyond. As exciting as this award may be, Northeastern University is ready to take its excellence to an even higher level.
