2015 Front End of Innovation Conference

The 2015 Front End of Innovation Conference was held this past month at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, MA. Northeastern was honored to participate as one of the conference Speakers. CRI Founding Director Tracey Dodenhoff, presented a session titled ‘New Models for Partnering with Universities’. The talk highlighted the innovative models Northeastern is using to cultivate high impact relationships with industry. The conference also featured a field trip event to Northeastern’s Kostas Research Institute for Homeland Security. The event included a tour of the KRI, given by CEO and Director of the KRI, Peter Boynton, as well as an inside look at the Rogers Corporation Innovation Center. Shawn Williams, VP of R&D at Rogers presented on the unique partnership model between Rogers Corporation and Northeastern. The field trip concluded with a demonstration in the new Nano-OPS Lab. Chair Professor and Director of Northeastern’s Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing, Ahmed Busnaina gave guests a glimpse into the future of manufacturing through nanoscale 3-D printing.
