NU Service Day provides students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to come together to assist area nonprofits with critical projects. In the past, groups have gone to organizations in Mission Hill, Fenway, Roxbury, and all around Boston. Examples of service day projects include going to Franklin Park to remove invasive species, Morville House to socialize with elderly citizens, Cradles to Crayons to sort children’s toys, and the American Diabetes Walk to cheer walkers on!
Teams range in size from approximately 5-25 and typically support park clean ups, gardening/weeding, facility maintenance (painting, grounds work, etc.), supply/material organizing and one day event support, and more! This year Northeastern Service day will take place on Saturday, October 19th with projects ranging from 2-5 hours beginning between 8:30am and 11:00am.
Volunteer registration is now open! Click here to learn more about this year’s Service Day projects and register today!
