Northeastern University: Center of Community Services

Alumni

Today, over 400 individuals make up the Massachusetts Promise Fellowship alumni network. Our alumni move on from our programs to a variety of exciting opportunities, including graduate school, law school, medical school, and careers in both the private and public sectors. They carry their Fellowship experience with them and continue to be community leaders and role models wherever their paths may lead.

“The Fellowship gave me the opportunity to develop into the professional I aspire to be. The only way I can pay it forward is by going out in the world and teaching people what MPF has taught me If you change the way you see things, the things you see change!”

– Stephanie Lajoie, Class XIII & XIV, MS Nonprofit Management, 2013

Alumni Engagement

After your year of service with MPF, continue pulling your weight by participating in the MPF Alumni Program! Whether you are interested in leading a training at a Fellow Monthly Meeting, or becoming a mentor for a new Fellow, there is something for everyone.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Join the Fellow Alumni Mentor (FAM) Program

If you are interested in connecting with current Fellows and feel like you would be a good mentor, then the FAM program is a perfect fit for you! Alumni Mentors are matched with a current Fellow to help guide them through their year of service and beyond. Contact l.currie@neu.edu for more details.

  • Be a Monthly Meeting Trainer

Are you interested in sharing your skills and experience with current Fellows? Would you like to stop by for lunch and a chat or lead an MPF Training/Workshop at one of our upcoming Monthly Meetings? We love welcoming back our Alumni to share their experiences and distribute resources that Fellows can bring back to their host sites. Contact l.currie@neu.edu for more details.

  • Serve as a Community Grant Reviewer

Support MPF in selecting our host sites each year by acting as a volunteer community grant reviewer. Reviewers read a selection of proposals and then come together to make final recommendations in late February. Contact c.holohan@neu.edu if you’re interested in learning more.
