Our mission is to bridge gaps in language, higher education, and professional skills training for conflict-affected individuals. By harnessing virtual learning technology and the benefits of peer-to-peer connections, we seek to provide a means of pursuing educational and employment opportunities.
We match individuals affected by conflict with personal English language tutors for 16 week sessions conducted via Skype and other video conferencing platforms. With a 1-2 hour per week commitment, our tutors make critical and tangible change in both the daily lives and trajectories of our students.

Our spring terms begin in January and our fall terms begin in September. We attempt to match students and tutors before these two time points so that our pairs can form good tutoring relationships and the most learning can occur. We provide training before the term begins, a curriculum to follow, and institutional support throughout the semester.
