Northeastern University: Center of Community Services

Husky Volunteer Team

The Husky Volunteer Team (HVT) program provides meaningful and consistent service to the communities surrounding Northeastern University.

Volunteers, in teams of three to ten, partner with a community organization for one semester where they serve on the same day and time each week. Projects range from tutoring at an after school program, visiting with elders, preparing and distributing meals, and more! HVT is a great way for any and every one to stay engaged and involved with peers and the community!

Any member of the Northeastern community is invited to participate in Husky Volunteer Team! When registering, there will be several organizations to choose from, each with different days/times available. Volunteers will be matched with one organization based on their preference and availability and teams will be formed.

Registration to join the Husky Volunteer Team occurs at the start of each semester and continues until all teams are full. Registration for Spring 2018 will begin in January!

Leadership roles are available! If you’re passionate about service and leading others, apply to be a HVT Team Leader! Responsibilities include: serve as a liaison between your team, site, and staff at the Center of Community Service, energize and motivate your team members, and track team hours. Keep this in mind – when the registration form is available, simply indicate your interest in being a Team Leader there!
