Coastal Ocean Science Academy

Program offered by the Marine Science Center in Nahant for incoming ninth- and tenth-grade students.

ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Camp

Provides rising sixth, seventh, and eighth graders with an opportunity to live on Northeastern’s campus while engaging in hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for two weeks in summer.

FIRST Robotics Competition

An opportunity for local high-school students and their undergraduate mentors to solve a common robotics problem in a six-week timeframe.

GK–12 Plus

Mentoring and tutoring for Boston Public Schools students by Northeastern graduate students for summer and classroom support in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and other science fields.

Math Circle Program

Afterschool program in Boston Public Schools offered by Northeastern’s mathematics faculty.


Places three Boston Public Schools summer interns with the University’s Information Services Department for paid, mentored positions learning technology and IS systems on campus.

The Young Scholars Program

Offers future scientists and engineers who have completed their sophomore or junior year in high school the opportunity to earn a weekly stipend, work in research labs, participate in seminars and field trips, receive education and career counseling, and experience college life.

Quality education for both students and heads of households in Roxbury, along with counseling, tutoring, and life-skills courses.

Huskies April Vacation Soccer Clinic

Develops and enhances abilities and tactical awareness for players ages 6 to 14 of any ability.

Husky Prospect Showcase

Showcase Opportunity for baseball players in eighth through twelfth grades to demonstrate their skills to scouting/recruiting coaches.

Huskies Summer Soccer Academies

Training for young soccer players of any ability, in full- and half-day sessions.

Husky Summer Baseball Camp

Teaches local Little League–age boys and girls (ages 6–12) the fundamentals of the game over two summer sessions.

Junior Coaches Academy

A leadership and coaching training program during April school vacation that empowers Boston teens with the skills to become effective coaches and positive role models in their communities.

Balfour Academy
