Student Speaker Application Undergraduate Ceremony

Each year a graduating senior is asked to make a 5-minute presentation at the Undergraduate Commencement ceremony. Any student graduating in December 2017, May 2018 or August 2018, who is participating in the morning undergraduate Commencement ceremony on May 4, 2018 may apply.

The following must be sent via email to Emily Hardman, Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs, at by the deadline of March 16, 2018:

1. Completed application
2. Resume
3. Typed speech, double-spaced (approximately 3-5 pages)
4. Video presentation via internet link, timed at no more than 5 minutes

Submissions will be reviewed by the Student Speaker Selection Committee for the Class of 2018. Applicants will be informed of the results by April 13, 2018. All speeches and videos are submitted with the understanding that they may be posted on the University related web sites and/or used in university related publications.
