Khoury College of Computer Sciences (Khoury College) Full-Time Faculty

The Khoury College of Computer Sciences (Khoury College) invites applications for positions at the rank of Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor/Associate Teaching Professor/Full Teaching Professor in the Computer Science ALIGN Program at the Charlotte campus beginning in January 2018. We are seeking highly motivated individuals committed to excellence in teaching. Full-time appointments at all ranks are renewable, career-focused, nontenure-track positions with responsibilities in teaching and service. Primary responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in the Computer Science ALIGN Program. The successful candidate will create course content and materials and collaborate with colleagues to develop new academic programs and relationships with the business community. Student advising and service to the college and university are an integral component of the position. Opportunities for research and scholarship are possible. Classes meet weekday evenings. School of Nursing Part-Time Lecturer

School of Nursing Part-time Lecturer positions are available to teach online, on ground, and at clinical sites in the following areas: Adult Medical/Surgical, Community Health, Maternal Child/Women’s Health, Pediatric, and Psychiatric Nursing. Responsibilities for clinical site instruction include providing opportunities for student learning, assessing and evaluating student performance, and collaborating with course coordinators to prepare students for practice. Responsibilities for didactic instruction include preparation of lectures, course materials, examinations, and evaluation of student performance in the course. Campus Assistant – Marketing/Communications

Northeastern University-Charlotte is seeking an energetic, organized professional for the Campus Assistant – Marketing/Communications position (part-time temporary, 10-20 hours per week). Primary duties include creating social media content, updating website and digital signs, managing Marketo, and serving as primary contact for visitors in our Welcome Center.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required along with 2-3 years of professional work experience. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical to this role. Must be extremely detailed oriented and able to prioritize work to meet campus and client expectations. Marketo and Constant Contact experience highly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create content on digital/social media including event promotions (Hootsuite, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Monitor inventory of and place orders for marketing materials, promotional items, and recruitment-related supplies as needed
  • Create invitations and communications using Marketo and Constant Contact
  • Assist in monitoring and updating the Charlotte campus website
  • Maintain and manage campus digital signs and printed materials for promotion
  • Manage contact database and photo repository
  • Post events on university calendar
  • Serve as primary contact for visitors to include prospective and current students, the general public, and all other campus visitors
  • Provide support in the Welcome Center by answering telephones, greeting visitors and directing as needed

Campus Assistant – Student Services

Northeastern University-Charlotte is seeking an energetic, organized professional for the Campus Assistant – Student Services (part-time temporary, 10-20 hours per week). Primary duties include staffing the campus for daytime, evening, and weekend classes, meetings, and special events, serving as primary contact for visitors in our Welcome Center, and assisting with various administrative assignments.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required along with 2-3 years of professional work experience. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical to this role. Must be extremely detailed oriented and able to prioritize work to meet campus and client expectations. Proficiency in Excel is desired

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary contact for visitors to include prospective and current students, the general public, and all other campus visitors
  • Provide support in the Welcome Center by answering telephones, greeting visitors, and directing as needed
  • Provide minor level of technical support for students and faculty while supervising campus
  • Provide support to prospects, applicants, and admitted students by directing them to the appropriate resources in Charlotte and Boston
  • Provide support to the recruitment team as needed
  • Various administrative tasks as assigned
  • For evening and weekend activity:
    • Ensure campus areas are clean and ready for next working day and all equipment and lights are powered down and doors secured
    • Assume primary responsibility for Charlotte campus emergency procedures while coordinating with faculty and security
    • Respond to evening maintenance
