The Northeastern University Marketing Association (NUMA) would like to hold a business simulation competition. Open to all students in the Northeastern community, the competition will be a weekend-long event where students, in teams of five, will compete against each other to create the most profitable virtual business. The teams will use a computer program, created by MHPractice, and progress through various stages over the two days of the competition. Our business knowledge and decision-making skills will be put to the test in the fields of marketing, finance, production, distribution, and more.
Northeastern is a place where entrepreneurial skills are developed and tested. This virtual experience will be a great first awakening for our participants who one day may wish to start their own business. Northeastern University and the D'Amore McKim School of Business stress experiential learning through co-op, study abroad, and other real world opportunities for their students. Participation in this simulation would help expand our entrepreneurial learning outside of the classroom and give us another valuable experience to reference when furthering our careers in the future.
It is only through the support of our donors that we are able to make this unique extracurricular experience a reality for all students who would like participate. We truly appreciate any contribution you can make.
Our initial Catalyst goal is to raise $1,500. This money will be used to cover the logistical expenses, promotional materials, and refreshments that are necessary to make this weekend-long event a success.
The Northeastern University Marketing Association (NUMA) is a dedicated student group that wants to satisfy the interest of those students who wish to incorporate marketing into their lives and future careers. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for driven young minds to continue marketing-based learning outside of the classroom. NUMA welcome students from every major and undergraduate class.
