Northeastern University Cricket Association

Video produced by the NUTV 2014.

The Northeastern University Cricket Association (NUCA) participated in the Nationals Tournament in spring 2016, and plans to participate again next year. The cost of attending Nationals was approximately $10,000, which included airfare, van rentals, accommodations, and equipment. The NUCA was able to cover the majority of this expense through dues, merchandise sales, and other fundraisers—but covering the balance depleted our resources for the upcoming year. The aim of this project is to provide the funds necessary to operate the club and participate in matches throughout the 2016–2017 academic year, including the purchase of necessary equipment for team members.

As the No. 1 cricket club in New England, we want the opportunity to continue to represent our university at the biggest platform, the Nationals Tournament, with an aim to promote the sport of cricket in the country.

Our Goal

Our goal is to raise $1,000, which will be used to replenish the funds spent on participation in the 2016 Nationals Tournament and provide operating funds for the upcoming year.

Our Stretch Goal: $1,000

Our Stretch goal is to raise an additional $1,000. This money continue to replenish the funds spent on the 2016 Nationals Tournament and support operating funds for the upcoming year.

Thank you for your support!

About the Northeastern University Cricket Association

We are the Northeastern University Cricket Association (NUCA)—the No. 1 cricket club in New England! As members of the NUCA, we strive to promote, encourage, foster, and develop interest in the game of cricket at Northeastern. Members of our club span from undergraduate to graduate students across various disciplines. We play local teams such as Boston University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Dartmouth College, and the University of Massachusetts - Lowell. We also compete in regional tournaments, where we play teams from the entire Northeast area during the fall semester. In addition, we participate in the Nationals Tournament, where we play teams from all across the country in the spring semester.
