The Husky Closet Clothing Drive

Dates: All summer long through Thursday, September 1st! 

Collection & Drop Off Locations:   Stearns Center, and the Social Justice Resource Center

Northeastern’s Career Development Dept., the Social Justice Resource Center,  the John D. O’Bryant African-American Institute and Trash2Treasure have partnered together to collect professional clothing you have and know you no longer have a need for, after Summer I! This Huskies helping Huskies initiative will allow students to shop for clothing to prepare their professional wardrobe this fall for the Fall Career Fair, co-op, and professional interviews.

Appropriate items to donate include gently-used professional:

  • Suit jackets/blazers/ sports coat
  • Pants/Trousers
  • Skirts
  • Blouses
  • Button-downs/ polo dress shirts
  • Dresses
  • Scarves
  • Ties
  • Belts
  • Shoes
  • Jewelry
  • Briefcases/handbags

Alumni Participation

We are excited to welcome our NU Alumni community to the Husky Closet Clothing Drive and share opportunities for all Alumni to get involved and do something special for our student body.

Alumni volunteer opportunities for the launch event may include: set-up, student engagement, professional attire consulting, and much more. If you are interested in participating as an individual or with your employer, please reach out utilizing the contact information below.

The Office of Alumni Relations is accepting donations at the Front Desk and the Alumni Center at Columbus Place (716 Columbus Ave.).  There will  also be a collection area (bin) at the next First Thursday event, scheduled for September 1st!
