Inside Bay Area: May 2019

Leadership Corner

Leadership Corner
This is an exciting month for us here at Northeastern University San Francisco Bay Area. Our first cohort of students will complete their degrees. We are proud to witness the growth of our students and their learning journey. To celebrate this milestone, we would like to invite you and your family to join the Northeastern community on Friday, May 17th for the recognition ceremony at our Silicon Valley campus.

As the academic year comes to a close, I want to thank our faculty and staff for their important contributions and great work that has allowed our region to experience significant growth and provide exceptional academic, co-op and cultural opportunities for our students.

Sincerely,
Dawn Girardelli, Associate Dean

Semester in San Francisco

The Semester in San Francisco(SSF) spring term concluded with a celebratory four-course dinner on April 15, 2019, at Scala’s Bistro! During the evening, students shared various reflections: how they gain confidence in implementing a business idea, how they felt inspired to support women in entrepreneurship, and what it was like to be immersed in such an innovative city. Faculty members also shared their words of wisdom on how to maintain entrepreneurial drives into the future.

On May 6, 2019, we welcomed 11 new undergraduate students to the SSF to study art and design over the Summer.
