    Northeastern's tradition of global engagement distinguishes undergraduate and graduate education alike. The university empowers undergraduates to chart their own academic path, combining experiential learning opportunities on seven continents with more than 150 undergraduate majors and concentrations, including interdisciplinary majors and major-minor combinations. Northeastern offers more than 125 graduate programs, online, on campus, and in hybrid formats, including 39 PhD programs and industry-aligned professional master’s degrees.

    Northeastern's faculty scholars pursue use-inspired, interdisciplinary research with a focus on discovering solutions to global challenges in health, security, and sustainability. Our advances in cybersecurity, drug discovery and delivery, healthcare delivery and policy, infrastructure resilience, and urban sustainability are characterized by global collaborations with industry, government, and other academic institutions.
