Empowering Huntington 100 members to engage with each other on a one-on-one basis in purposeful, mutually rewarding relationships that are reflective and strategic.

The Huntington 100 Coaching Program (H100CP) is open to all Huntington 100 members – alumni and current students. Coaches form one-on-one connections with their protégés, providing valuable resources and insight. In turn, protégés will gain enhanced skills in strategic and informed decision-making in their academic and professional lives.

The program is designed to prepare a new generation of innovative leaders who will continue to impact Northeastern and the world. Each coach-protégé partnership is expected to last for one year. However, coaches and their protégés are welcome to extend their relationship beyond that time frame.

Interest forms are accepted for the program on a continuous basis.

  • For Coaches

As a coach you will support the personal and professional development of your protégé, model professional behavior, and challenge them to go outside their comfort zone in some way in order to achieve personal growth. You are NOT expected to offer jobs or internships, or to have all the answers.

A coach is expected to …

    • Provide protégé with adequate opportunities for interaction. Twice monthly, with meetings in person as possible with schedules/ locations etc.
    • Discuss career background, experience, and professional activities that have contributed to success, role/organization, etc.
    • Assist the protégé with setting goals and provide the necessary tools/support to attain those goals.
    • Ask powerful, thought-provoking questions that tap into the inherent wisdom and creativity of the protégé.
    • Teach networking skills.
    • Provide feedback to the Office of Alumni Relations on the protégé and the H100CP program.

    How do I get started?

    • Complete the coach interest form.
    • Wait until we can match you with a protégé.
    • Attend the Kickoff/Match event to meet your protégé.
    • Start coaching, meeting with your student, and staying connected to the Office of Alumni Relations.

Due to our desire to help form the best coaching experience possible, some matches may not be made due to an incompatibility of those interested in being coaches and protégés.
