“CAMD and CSSH students and faculty work together to develop an exhibition centering on African American women’s experiences.”

 

Professor Patricia Davis (Communication Studies) and students Brittany Clottey (CSSH’22) and Leylanah Mitchell (CAMD’21) are currently working on an exhibition entitled “Marginal Bodies: Women of Color, Representation, and the Struggle Over Citizenship and Belonging, 1920-2020.” This exhibition features archival imagery from digital collections and news sources to illustrate how African American women have visually communicated their struggle within and towards the state.
