History
The Huskies inception began in the fall of 2007 by founders Chelsea Dietz and Lianne Aglietti. On November 6, 2007 four skaters and a goalie stepped out onto the ice in Matthews Arena. The growth of the team continued through 2008 with hard work from the creaters and well as a couple other students. With assistance from volunteer coaches, Nick Carpenito and Jeremy Schleibaum, there were enough recruits to compete in three full team scrimmages in February and March 2008. The team continues to grow and hopes to add many more chapters of history by starting to play in ACHA and the NEWCHL in the fall of 2008 as well as competing at the Division 2 level.
In their first season of play, the huskies rostered a full team and competed with some of the top teams in the country. The huskies made it to the National Championship in Rochester NY, and took home third place. Many of the huskies recieved honors at the national tournament. The huskies look to continue to build up their program and continue to compete against the top teams.
