Welcome to the home of the Northeastern Women's Club Ice Hockey Team! We are a division 2 club hockey team playing out of Matthews Arena in Boston, MA. The huskies are part of the NEWCHL and also the ACHA. The team was established in 2007.
NU defeats cross-town rival Harvard
The NU Huskies and the Harvard Crimson have a lot in common being in such a great city of Boston, but when it comes to the ice, the two teams set aside there similarities and are prepared to compete. Fortunatly the huskies came out on top with an 8-2 win. Karoline Perdios scored a record game high of 4 goals in one game. Goals were also scored by Meredith Harclerode and Mckenzie Powers.
The huskies take on Bates for the first time this season, with a home and home series this Saturday and Sunday.
Huskies Dominate Three Game Weekend
The Huskies came out with three big wins this weekend with NEWCHL league games against the University of Connecticut, Mount Holyoke College, and Smith College. The Huskies continue to sweep the NEWCHL league to gain the number one spot in the league after playing 6 games this season.
Friday night the Huskies traveled to play their second game against the University of Connecticut Huskies. Northeastern had points across the lines to take home the 10–0 victory. Saturday the Huskies continued on the road to Mount Holyoke College. Another team effort by the Huskies they were able to grab a 14–0 win on the road. Back at home the Huskies took on Smith College for a second re-match this season. Northeastern was able to seal the weekend with a 9–0 win against Smith. Each goalie, Chelsea Dietz, Kelly Morris, and Alex Charest gained shutout wins this weekend.
Huskies Top UVM and Smith
The Huskies took on league rival University of Vermont on Saturday. After being down 1-0 going into the second period, the huskies didn't give up. With goals from Christine Fuchs and Mckenzie Powers in the second, the huskies were able to gain the lead. Through lots of physical play, Powers was able to add a third goal to the scoreboard sealing the huskies win at 3-1.
Sunday, the huskies traveled to Smith to play a competitive game. Freshman Minnesota native Hannah Berry noted 3 goals and 1 assist. McKenzie Powers scored 2 goals and had 1 assist. Christine Fuchs and Megan Winters both greatly contributed with 1 goal and 3 assists. Charest and Morris split time for the shutout
Overall 17 huskies marked points contributing to the huskies successful weekend.
2009-2010 Team Picked
The huskies had tryouts for the 2009-2010 season Thursday September 17th and Friday September 18th. The team had a great turnout and are extremely excited about the upcoming season. With 14 returners including ACHA honorable mentiones Meredith Harclerode, McKenzie Powers, Savannah Riley, and Chelsea Dietz, the huskies have taken the ice and are ready to play.

Huskies Join ACHA and NEWCHL
The Huskies have joined the ACHA (American College Hockey Association) along with the NEWCHL(North East Women's College Hockey League) division 2 beginning in 2008 The NEWCHL is a local league consisting of 6 teams including Northeastern. The other teams are Mout Holyoke College, University of Vermont, Smith College, Bates College, and University of Connecticut. The ACHA is the national organization consisting of many other teams all over the country. The huskies have a very competitive schedule this upcoming season as they are ready to continue their success from last year. (5/30/08)
