The title of the abstract should use title case and be printed in boldface (This is an Example of Title Case). Names and affiliations must use proper case (e.g., Bertha Scharrer). The total number of characters in the abstract text (excluding title, authors, and affiliations) should be approximately between 1500-2000.

If you want to be considered for a poster award, mention this in the your email and indicate your status (undergraduate, graduate student, or postdoc).

Poster board dimensions are 6 feet wide and 4 feet tall (~1.8 x 1.2 meter).

YOUNG INVESTIGATOR SYMPOSIUM
Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows may apply to present their work in the Young Investigator Symposium. Applicants must be first author on the abstract and must have played a primary role in conducting the research. Applicants should send an email with a formal request to be considered plus a copy of their abstract and a statement from their mentor to wcnh2011@cns.umass.edu by May 16, 2011 mentioning ‘Young Investigator Symposium’ in the subject line. A committee will select eight applicants to give an oral presentation.
POSTER COMPETITION
Undergraduates, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows can compete. Poster abstracts must be submitted by May 30. Judges will evaluate the posters at the meeting and awards (non-monetary) will be given at the meeting banquet. No application is necessary to compete.
There is no charge for Abstract Submissions and/or Competition Applications.
